JOURNEY TO SELF IMMERSION
ABOUT THE IMMERSION
A transformational in-person immersion (55 Continuing Education Credits with Yoga Alliance) at the Yoga Barn Ubud in Bali.
This immersion offers an intentional dive into transformative practices for the landscape of the mindfield. Yogis have long pursued “mastery of the Self”. Solving the problem of suffering and the causes of suffering have long been the goal of yogic inquiry. Using somatic practices, Internal Family Systems®, Somatic Psychology with asana and free movement, breathwork, and meditation, we forge a multi-dimensional terrain in which to unpack the layers of Self. The coverings that yoga refers to of our true nature, include kancukas (cloaks), kleshas (poisons), malas (impurities), and granthis (knots), and maya (illusion), all various words to indicate the thoughts and beliefs that limit our capacity to see, to act, to love and belong.
This immersion offers the continuity of a discovery container over 5.5 days, as a cocoon for practice and fluency - a comprehensive laboratory to submerge into the meditative space, whilst examining the constructs of our own perceiving awareness. We use somatic movement, inquiry, and expressive practices to alchemize perceptions in the body-mind
